Happy Mother's Day!

I love you, Mom!

Whether you are a working mom or a stay-at-home mom, your calling to motherhood is not something ordinary. It's something that demands everything we have 24/7 for the rest of our lives, but we expect nothing in return. Mothers are amazing. You don't need to be ashamed to tell people if you're a stay-at-home Mom. Motherhood is a calling, a ministry. It's Mighty.

We're not just a mom or a homemaker, we are also an accountant, an administrator, a barber, a beautician, a chauffer, a cheerleader, a coach, a cook, a counselor, a helper, an interior decorator, a maid, a merchant, a mind-reader, a nurturer, a nutritionist, a nurse, a prayer warrior, a psychologist, a seamstress, a spiritual advisor, a teacher, a waitress, and a wife. It's not an easy job, but we put our hopes and trust in our living God.

"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." - Proverbs 31: 26-28

Here are a few of my favorite books on motherhood and raising children:

  1. That was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be a mother. Happy Mother's Day to you, too!
